On one of my research trips to the Watzek Library Special Collections room at Lewis & Clark College, I unearthed a remarkable letter to Stafford from a soldier in Vietnam. Trouble was, the correspondent’s name was missing. I told the story in this article for the Friends of William Stafford in October 2022.
